Brief: To create media assets that help the UK Antarctic Heritage Trust promote its Adopt A Penguin Campaign to a younger audience. This can be approached using any methods you wish, but the resulting output must be appropriate for one or more of the social media platforms the heritage uses.
This project was for a client, as I worked alongside the UKAHT (UK Antarctic Heritage Trust) to create content for their social media pages. The brief states that the content is to be aimed at a younger audience, so because of this, I knew that I wanted to create an animation as video is more likely to grab a younger person’s attention rather than a still image. I also wanted to use emotion to convey the UKAHT’s message, which is why I opted to create an animation where a baby penguin gets separated from its parents due to the ice melting around it. Every image/asset was made from scratch before being animated in Adobe After Effects, with the only outside input being the sound, which was given to me for use in this project by the UKAHT.
