Brief: Create a new visual identity for a Japanese sushi restaurant called Sunlight Sushi.
The Sunlight Sushi project brief started as creating designs to modernise the look and the branding of a Japanese sushi restaurant; however, due to COVID stopping me from being able to go to class, this project got cut short. A couple of years later, I decided to pick the project back up and use the assets I had created to make a website for Sunlight Sushi. For the look of this project, I aimed to modernise the look of the restaurant's graphics but still have aspects of traditional Japanese design.
The Target audience for the website is people looking for a restaurant to eat out at. This is why I made a conscious decision to only include information on the page that feels relevant to them. I have also used icons that are universally used throughout many online platforms, such as the menu icon and the location icon, to help streamline and simplify the user experience.

Layout designs that could be used for the covers of menus, on business cards, or added to posts on social media pages.

My own illustration of a fish that will stand out against competing restaurants and help people remember Sunlight Sushi.

Simple and sleek designs for business cards and signs that modernise the look of Sunlight Sushi while still holding traditional values through the symbol and colour choices.
